Join us at our new Screen Printing Technology Center at SPSI Arlington, TX office. We’ve expanded our warehouse with a showroom full of screen printing equipment featuring the MHM S-Type Xtreme Compact, Exile Spyder II Computer-to-screen, V-Lux Exposure Unit, Chiossi e Cavazzuti Ace 950 and more.

The 301 Advanced Screen Printing seminar was designed to help screen printers take their skills to the next level. Led by Tony Palmer, Palmprint Consulting, he will cover proper screen room set up, automation,  right on to set up on press, printing wet-on-wet, 4 color printing, simulated printing and more advanced screen printing techniques. 

Tony has more than 30 years experience in garment decoration ranging from manual screen printing on hand carousels to the operation of multi-color automatic presses. He has helped shops all over the world elevate their 3 P's (processes, production, and profit).

8:30am-9:00am:  Meet and Greet - we'll have coffee, bagels & donuts

9:00am-10:00am -  Art Discussion & Art Separation - Tony Palmer

10:00am-11:00pm - Screen Making - Importance of proper set up in the screen room, coating screens, exposure times, mesh counts, and screen room automation

11:00am-12:00pm - Set up on press - Tony will start off with proper set up on a wet-on-wet job

12:00pm - Break for Lunch - Catered lunch

1:00pm-2:30pm- Set up on press /  Using the skills we have explored in the previous sessions, we will explore how to determine optimal color order and blade selection. On press settings can ensure a smooth print run with minimal spread and pick up. We also will explore how the flash settings and pressure adjustments can make a job run easier.

2:30pm-4:00pm- Tony will walk through the simulated process, 4 color job, and more techniques to give your shop the skills to produce amazing prints.

Tony Palmer

Tony has more than 30 years experience in garment decoration ranging from manual screen printing on hand carousels to the operation of multi-color automatic presses. He has helped shops all over the world elevate their 3 P's (processes, production, and profit) Not only is Tony an experienced printer, but he has a unique ability to share his knowledge with others, no matter their skill level. He has not received a degree in education, but we still like to call him the Professor of Screen Printing. 

John Magee, Avient Ink

John Magee is a seasoned screen printer with a career spanning over three decades. He began his journey in the early 90s, embracing the evolving technology in the industry, from traditional photographic dark rooms to computer output films and precision printing techniques. John has extensive experience in printing on various substrates, including fabric, wood, and metal. Currently, John serves as the Senior Technical Service Representative for Avient Specialty Inks. In this role, he travels across North America, providing support for Wilflex, Rutland, Union, QCM, Zodiac, and Magna inks.
