Characteristics
CCI ENVIROWASH® Nature’s Ink Cleaner is a soy-based, semi-viscous ink cleaner designed for effective removal of screen printing inks while remaining safe for the stencil emulsion. Developed as part of CCI’s Enviroline® chemistry, ENVIROWASH is particularly suited for cleaning plastisol ink from screens during production and reclaiming operations.
The semi-viscous formulation helps keep the cleaner on the screen during application, allowing it to work into residual ink before rinsing. It can be applied to the ink side of the screen and agitated on both sides using a non-abrasive scrub brush or pad to help break down remaining ink.
ENVIROWASH can be used for manual ink washout at the sink. After excess ink has been carded from the screen, the cleaner is applied and agitated before the screen is rinsed with high-pressure water. Rinsing from the bottom of the screen upward helps carry loosened ink and cleaner away from the mesh.
The product is also suitable for recirculating screen-cleaning systems. ENVIROWASH can be continuously recirculated until it becomes heavily contaminated with ink solids, and used product may be filtered and reused when appropriate.

- Card or scrape as much excess ink as possible from the screen before applying ENVIROWASH.
- For manual washout, apply the product to the ink side of the screen.
- Agitate the ink using a non-abrasive scrub brush or pad on both sides of the screen.
- High-pressure rinse the screen thoroughly to remove loosened ink and cleaner residue.
- Start the pressure-water rinse at the bottom of the screen and work upward.
- In recirculating systems, continue using the cleaner until it becomes excessively contaminated with ink solids.
- Used ENVIROWASH may be filtered and reused when appropriate for the cleaning process.
- Follow applicable local regulations regarding disposal and the discharge of ink-contaminated rinse water.
