CCI D-Base Premium Clear Mixing Base is a clear water-based discharge ink designed for professional textile screen printing applications where an exceptionally soft hand and high-quality image reproduction are required. When used on suitable dischargeable fabrics, D-Base removes the garment dye rather than building a heavy ink layer on top of the fabric, producing a soft finished print.
D-Base is a versatile discharge system that can be used for color stripping or "bleaching," as a discharge underbase, or as a clear mixing base with compatible pigments to produce custom discharge colors. It can also be incorporated with other compatible ink systems to create a variety of specialty printing effects.
The controlled rheology and low-viscosity flow characteristics of D-Base allow it to print through higher mesh counts, helping screen printers achieve fine image detail while maintaining a softer finished print. CCI recommends mesh counts from 156 to 355 threads per inch, depending on the artwork and application.
D-Base is formulated to provide bright, crisp color reproduction when properly pigmented and activated. Its low-odor, PVC-free, and phthalate-free formulation offers easy handling and cleanup while providing excellent color and wash fastness.
The ink is designed to resist premature drying in the screen, helping maintain printability during production. Once properly printed and cured, D-Base provides a durable finish with resistance to washing, dry cleaning, and ironing.
Important: CCI D-Base does not include discharge activator. A compatible discharge activator, such as CCI D-Powder, must be purchased separately and added as required for discharge applications. Always test the garment before production because fabric dyes vary in their ability to discharge.
